Why choose
Sens-i-Lavi shampoo?
Sens-i-Lavi shampoo?
Physiological pH of shampoos suitable for healthy dog skin
Subtle rose scent preferred by dogs
Micellar shampoo formula for exceptionally gentle skin and hair cleansing
Physiological pH
Sens-i-Lavi shampoos have a pH value of 7.2, which is appropriate for healthy dog skin. The physiological, i.e. natural pH of your pet skin reaches values in the range of 6.9 – 7.51. Thus, the pH value characteristic of a dog is significantly higher than that of a man whose average skin pH value is 5.5. By using shampoos with a pH value as close as possible to that of a healthy pet, you will ensure the right balance – after washing, the skin barrier will regenerate faster and return to its natural balance.
Why quick regeneration of the skin barrier after bathing is important?
- so that the skin can be elastic and, thanks to a tight barrier, resistant to drying out and to the penetration of pathogens and pollutants into the body
- so that the coat, which is a product of the skin, can be beautiful and shiny
1) Own research of DermaPharm laboratory.
Good to know:
The pH value allows us to determine whether the substance has acidic or alkaline properties. The pH scale is between 0 and 14.
Exemplary pH values:
- orange juice: pH 4
- clean water: pH 7
- soap: pH 10
Rose scent
Did you know that among cosmetic scents, rose fragrance is one of the most frequently peferred by dogs?2. A dog has a sense of smell much more sensitive than a human 3. Smell is a key sense for a dog – dogs use it to perceive and then interpret information coming from the outside world, associating it with a positive or negative meaning. Dogs prefer a rose scent and this will make the bath a more pleasant experience for your pet. Sens-i-Lavi rose shampoos will impress you too!

3) For comparison: the number of olfactory receptor cells in humans is 5 million, and in dogs it ranges from 70–230 million (depending on the breed).
Micellar formula
The base of Sens-i-Lavi shampoos are properly selected washing agents.
Every washing agent is composed with:
- part exhibiting a tendency to bond with water
- part exhibiting a tendency to bond to the dirt on the surface of the skin and hair (fatty substances)
Micelles are structures formed in a shampoo from single molecules of washing agents, they can take a spherical form.
How do the micelles work?
During the bath, in the process of removing dirt with shampoo and water, the washing agents “bond” with the dirt particles, but their fragments still remain in the water. Dirt particles detached from the washed surface are isolated from it by particles of washing agents, so they are easily removed during rinsing.
Sens-i-Lavi shampoos use a micellar formula using carefully selected washing agents to make the bath effective and yet gentle on skin and coat. The series is also suitable for sensitive skin prone to irritation.
